A motorcycle accident in Carson City has claimed the lives of the two people who were on the motorcycle, according to recent reports of the accident. One of them passed away this last Sunday after being on life support, the other, a 21 year old female and resident of South Lake Tahoe, died last Wednesday. She was a passenger on the motorcycle, a Suzuki, driven by the 21 year old male who passed away Sunday. He had been on life support, and then was placed back on life support. The reason for this was that his organs were giving out off of the life support system, and the young man’s wishes were to donate his organs. He was placed back on so that that could be completed, and then removed again from life support and allowed to pass away. He had been there since the Carson City motorcycle accident on March 22nd. The incident occurred a little before 11 in the evening, where Fairview and Roop meet. The bike the young man was driving hit a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, a 60 year old man from Gardnerville, was not injured in the accident.
Little is known about the young woman who passed, at least according to recent stories on this fatal motorcycle accident in Northern Nevada. The young man was a University of Nevada, Reno, student, and a member of the school’s band. A tenor sax player, he had been with the marching band for coming up on two years, according to the leader of the band. Little else is known, or at least being reported, about the accident. We don’t know if it was a case of driving under the influence or speeding in Nevada, nor do we have an inkling yet of who might be at fault. The Nevada Highway Patrol is continuing to look for answers.
